Photos From An Unusual Day

Yesterday at lunch time I received a call from John Alley. He and Max Crossley had been forced to land in Narrabri on a trip from Rockhampton to Tamworth. Bad weather between Moree and Tamworth had forced them to divert. They stayed overnight, confident that better weather would allow them to resume their journey. Unfortunately we woke up to fog which persisted for much of the morning. Even after the fog dispersed, low cloud again made flying unsafe. It was so cloudy that the QANTAS service from Sydney was unable to land.

Eventually John and Max left after lunch and made it as far as Tamworth. They hope to get home to Rocky tomorrow.

The fog brought opportunities for some different perspectives on familiar scenery.

Here are some photos at the airport. The first couple are of Max and John, the remainder of John and me.
