Josh came home from the main street complaining that an apparently drunk man had intimidated him into giving money. We reported it to the police. Although Josh only gave the guy about 70 cents to get himself out of an unsafe situation, nobody should feel intimidated in the main street. They took it seriously enough to come and collect Josh and take him for a ride to see if he could identify potential suspects. He couldn't remember much about the man. But Josh did enjoy his ride and chatting with the policeman about computer games.
This evening we will be attending the induction service for the new Anglican Minister.
It was great to see that the recent rains have not only rejuvenated the land but did a great job of replenishing the lake. It's gone from "nearly empty" last week to "nearly full" this week. So far in January we've had exactly our average monthly rainfall of 87 mm with a week still to go.
It must have been very scarey for Josh.
ReplyDeleteIt was, but he handled it well I think.
