Over the last few days, God has been doing some nice people stuff in our lives.
Last night a fellow from Moree called in. We don't know him, but he's been working in Narrabri and was feeling lonely. He was recommended to come to us by our friend Lew. It was cool just hanging out and talking together.
Tonight at the prayer meeting, Grant brought Rozina's cousin George along. George is a Catholic missionary who lives in Melbourne and was passing through. George has done a masters in ministry, studying anger in priests. His passion is to return to Chile where he was ministering previously.
And over the last few days we've run into people that we used to have lots of contact with but now don't for whatever reasons. It's really quite uncanny.:) I know that's not a spiritual word. For a while we've been praying for people to come home, without any clear idea of who they might be... it just seemed right to pray that way. Now we are being reunited with old friends. Are they coming home in that sense? I don't know, but God does!
And then today we had the Crisis Centre Committee meeting at the church... a couple of new people came to that also, including this woman called Nerida. I don't normally hit it off with people straight away, but we clicked. Can you imagine a committee meeting here you have fun? That happened today!
Through all these encounters I believe that Jesus is here- opening people's eyes to another way of being church, of opening people's eyes to the fact that God's Kingdom isn't what they thought it was.
God bless you:heart:
Keith
