  2. I received a memo from a lady I worked for which contained so many acronyms, I couldn't really get anything more from it than the general idea.I sent her a note back,"Thank you for your memo of August 3. However, your TLA's were a little confusing. The ETLA's left me with quite a few questions which were augmented by the EETLA's. Could you clarify please?"Within minutes, the phone rang, "What are TLA's?"I acted rather surprised that she didn't know. A TLA is a Three Letter Acronym. An ETLA is an Extended Three Letter Acronym. An EETLA is an Extended, Expanded Three Letter Acronym. No more cryptic notes from her!!
