I went to see the "Narnia" movie last week.
The one thing that has stayed with me is the different world-view that comes out. C.S. Lewis, the author of the Narnia books, was a committed christian, and the movie truly reflects this.
The most striking aspect of this is the role attributed to human beings. It was interesting to see the awe in which the inhabitants of Narnia held the "Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve" who were in reality just ordinary kids from war-time Britain.
Over the years, evolutionists have told us that we are just another animal.
The greenies have been telling us that not only this but we are responsible for destroying the world, and basically the world would be a better place without people.
We have the people who sell the myths of over-population, global warming and imminent destruction of the planet.
But Narnia reminds us again of the biblical truth that we are created in the image of God who created all things. Ordinary people are of inestimable value to God. And we are the pinnacle of creation.
Don't believe the rubbish that the world puts in front of you.
You are valuable to God. So much so that He sent Jesus to lay down His life for you.
Be blessed
Keith
